Introducing Leah Knutson: Boulder Event Planner Extraordinaire!
When you’re planning an event, whether it’s a cozy gathering or a grand celebration, it’s Leah who makes the magic happen at The Kitchen in Boulder. Our incredible Event Sales Manager brings a wealth of experience and passion to every event she coordinates.
Leah’s journey began in the quaint town of Nisswa, Minnesota. She started her career in hospitality working as a server during college, where she fell in love with the fast-paced restaurant world. After a stint in catering sales, Leah found her way back to restaurants, climbing the ranks into management roles. In 2022, she joined The Kitchen team as a Floor Manager and later became the Assistant General Manager. Now, as our Event Sales Manager, she brings her wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to every event she plans.
Leah’s true passion lies in the event side of hospitality. With over six years in the industry and hundreds of events under her belt, she’s a pro at making every detail count. “I love helping our guests plan their most important meetings and celebrations,” Leah shares. “My favorite part is using my expertise to make the experience easy and enjoyable for the client. Whether it’s easing the nerves of an overwhelmed bride or impressing a corporate planner with seamless coordination, helping others is the best part of my job!”
When she’s not planning your perfect event, Leah can be found embracing the Colorado lifestyle. She’s a hot yoga enthusiast and loves cooking up delicious meals at home. Any chance she gets, she’s in the mountains with her family skiing, hiking, or camping. Fun fact: Leah was a ski racer in high school, and she’s gearing up for a heli-skiing adventure for her 35th birthday! Think you can keep up on the slopes? Think again!
When it comes to the menu, Leah’s favorite dish is the Halloumi Naan with garlic fries from our lunch menu. “It’s the perfect combo of savory and satisfying,” she says. “A must-try for anyone stopping by!”
