Meet John!

Meet John D’Alexander, the General Manager and certified Sommelier leading the way at our newest location in Austin, TX! 

Born and raised on the northwest side of Chicago, John has spent his career immersed in hospitality, working his way from server to captain in some of the finest 1, 2, and 3 Michelin-starred restaurants. In 2014, he earned his sommelier certification, and his passion for beverage, operations, and teaching others has been unstoppable ever since.

When asked about his favorite dish on the menu, John doesn’t hesitate: the pork chop. “It’s so sweet, juicy, and melts in your mouth. It leaves you craving more.” 

His appreciation for flavor and detail reflects lessons from his Michelin days, where precision was paramount. “I learned that every position in a restaurant is essential, from the host to the dishwasher, and that small touches can make a huge impact.”

In his spare time, John enjoys playing video games with his kids, working out, and smoking the occasional cigar. If he weren’t in hospitality, his dream would be to open an animal sanctuary. Proof of his big heart and love for all creatures. 

John’s journey from Chicago to Texas, with a few stops in between, has been fueled by his love of hospitality and the Lone Star State. Now, he’s bringing that passion to Austin’s dynamic dining scene.
