“I’ve been blown away by the hospitality of everyone that we’ve met in Indianapolis,” said Degnan. “Downtown Indianapolis is in a renaissance and we see a growing culinary scene driven by creative local restaurateurs. We’re thrilled to be part of that energy and excitement. The Kitchen is incredibly thankful to the Herb Simon Foundation for bringing our non-profit organization to Indianapolis and of course Eric Gershman and Gershman Partners for inviting us to be part of The Marietta development.”

“Gershman Partners is excited to be working with Kimbal and everyone on The Kitchen team as we continue to transform the Mass Ave District into the most exciting live, work, and play area of the city,”  said Eric Gershman, Principal of Gershman Partners. “We truly believe in, and share the vision of, The Kitchen in Indianapolis and look forward to continuing to work with them.”

The new modern American bistro concept will have a warm, high-style urban design for a comfortable and accessible dining experience for lunch, happy hour, and dinner with a focus on service and hospitality. Located on the corner of Indianapolis’ historic, three street intersection of Massachusetts Avenue, Alabama Street and Vermont Street, the space will offer an epic private dining room for business lunches and events. The 1000 square foot patio will be a buzzing, outdoor bar scene with fire pits.

The restaurant is expected to open in late spring, early summer 2017.
