Chocolate Hazelnut Torte is a delicious end to any meal! (Recipe makes 1 cake)
Unsalted Butter 1 ½ cups
Granulated Sugar 1 ½ cups
Dark Chocolate 1 ½ cups
All Purpose Flour ½ cup
Hazelnuts, toasted & chopped 1 cup
Start by placing hazelnuts on a baking sheet and toast them in the oven at 350 degrees for approximately 10 minutes or until they are lightly browned.
Melt the butter in a rondeau, or wide, heavy-bottomed pot. Once melted, remove from heat and add the chocolate. Let sit for a minute or two, then gently stir to combine. Add the sugar, followed by the eggs one at a time. Stir in the flour, then fold in the hazelnuts.
Pour into a greased spring form pan and bake at 300 degrees for about 30-40 minutes, until the center is set.
